Highlights include clear vision looking through the membrane. While others have attempted to get there, we are there! We mute any reflectivity in the stainless steel wire by providing for a durable black finish that resists chipping and peeling. Of only .028", it is truly like looking through insect screening! Only glass is clearer!

Regarding corrosion resistance, this product is fully prepared for coastal applications. We integrate stainless steel wire cloth which won't corrode like carbon steel barriers or unfinished aluminum. Even our aluminum frame which supports the membrane is mitered, welded, sanded then finished. Virtually all others finish their metal first, then cut and piece frame members together. Butt cut corners, mechanical joins and the absence of welds all leave the door wide open for salt collection in the corners. Unfinished saw cuts and punch outs thus become, the weakest link.

We are proud of the fit and finish of the Select Series 7000. Attention to detail is what sets us aside from earlier generation in place shutters. Even from the inside looking out, we provide for cover plates that conceal exposed screw heads. As strange as it seems, all tend to ignore certain all too important finish details. We disagree!

For next to nothing, we provide an aesthetically pleasing cover plates to conceal the guts much like the window industry provides for glazing beads. While manufacturers may be proud of their mechanisms, side impact supports, etc., we also support the notion that cars should have interior door panels and arm rests too! Manufactured shutters aren't cheap and teh willing buyer has a right to fit and finish.

Regarding affordability, this manufactured shutter is extremely competitive. Comparable to the likes of accordion style shutters, the Select Screen is more passive and less institutional looking than anything out there. Although local labor may effect final pricing, it is this company's policy to not gouge the public in spite of our Patent and Patent Pending exclusivity. Once again, it looks like a screen, performs better than screen with only impact glass being clearer, but not cheaper!

Many claim it can't and couldn't be done! That is all smokescreen, ill will and envy as it is all over but the shouting! This new Generation X shutter has landed and is receiving a lot of attention as it should. It is legitimized by Dade County's Product Control Department and is backed up by an independent accredited testing laboratory. There is much to fear from a product as good as this! Once can see clearly through it, it will not rust, it is lightweight, passive, offers residual benefits for security and sun shading, doesn't destroy architecture, on and on. It is simply the best retrofit item in the market!
